E. Marjorie Meissner

E. Marjorie Meissner, formerly of Waukesha, passed away Sunday morning, July 2, 2006, at the Morningside Nursing and Memory Care Center in South Bend, Ind. She was 87.

Marjorie was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Boscobel, the daughter of Oscar and Helen Olson.

Married on May 17, 1947, to Wellington Meissner, the Lord blessed them with 59 years of grace as husband and wife.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Granger, Ind., and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha, where she was active in the women’s and altar guilds.

She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Kristin M. (Rick) Kohrt of Granger; her granddaughter, Nicole (John Patrick) Moore of St. Louis; and her grandson, Brad Kohrt of Chicago.

The Rev. Steven Mishcke will officiate a noon service Thursday, July 6, at Kendall Funeral Home, 209 Mary St., Boscobel. Friends and family are welcome to visit starting at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Marjorie’s memory to Peace Lutheran Church, 16791 Cleveland Road, Granger, IN 46530, or Morningside Nursing and Memory Care Center, 19325 Bailey Ave., South Bend, IN 46637.
