Marvin H. Birlingmair

May 28, 1929 - June 24, 2006

Marvin H. Birlingmair, 77, formerly of Eagle, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006, in Springfield, Mo. Marvin was born May 28, 1929, in Primghar, Iowa, the son of Glen and Lelia (nee Rice) Birlingmair.

He served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War, having been awarded the Korean Service Medal with five Bronze Stars. He was a mechanical and design engineer by trade, and was employed at Waukesha Dresser for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his sons, Keith H. Birlingmair of St. David, Ariz., and Douglas G. (Jean) Birlingmair of Elkhorn; grandchildren, Nichole Marie and Katrina Grace; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; his parents; and his sister, Betty Birlingmair.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 10, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Eagle. Please meet at the cemetery. The Rev. William McBride will officiate, with full military honors to follow.
