Reinhardt "Reiny" E. Ittner

Reinhardt "Reiny" E. Ittner, 83, of Watertown passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2006.

Reinhardt was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 19, 1922, the son of Carl Ittner and Maria (nee) Matchull. He graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1940 and attended Milton College and Waukesha Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force European Theatre during World War II. Reinhardt retired in 1988 as vice president of manufacturing and planning at Hein Werner Corp. in Waukesha.

On March 8, 1943, Reinhardt married Lucille Maasch at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in the town of Ashippun.

Reinhardt was an active member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Waukesha, serving on various boards and committees and holding many offices. Following his recent move to Watertown, he became a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. While in Canada, he served on the chamber of commerce. He loved sports but always took time out to fish for bluegills and perch.

He is survived by his wife and friend, Lucille Ittner of Watertown; a son, Richard J. (Betty) Ittner of Madison and a daughter, Cathy Lou (Max) Pogainis of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; a sister, Alicia Walters of Willits, Calif., a brother, Helmuth "Mox" (Jean) Ittner of Oconomowoc; and a sister-in-law, Joanna Rollert of Watertown. Reinhardt is also survived by five grandchildren, Ruanna (Judd) Marsden, Laura (MIah) Marsden, Reuben Ittner, Serena Ittner and Lola Ittner.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Reinhardt was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wolfrum Ittner.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2006, at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown.

The Rev. Victor Tegtmeier of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown will officiate. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in the town of Ixonia. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday.
