Robert H. "Bob" "Bud" Wick

Robert H. "Bob" "Bud" Wick of Waukesha died Friday, July 14, 2006, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, at age 85.

Bob was born Sept. 27, 1920, in Milwaukee, the son of Joseph and Elsie (nee Krause) Wick. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Zickuhr on Oct. 12, 1943, in Milwaukee. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in the 14th Air Force, and was a member of the Flying Tigers in China and India. Bob was employment manager for International Harvester for many years before his retirement. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waukesha, and previously at Nain Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, where he enjoyed singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday school. He was an active sportsman, including golf and bowling. He was also avid fan of the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. Bob will be fondly remembered for his love of gardening and making beautiful stained glass.

Bob will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy of Waukesha; his son, Mark of Charlottesville, Va.; his daughter, Lynne (Steven) Thomas of Cross Plains; his three grandchildren, Robert and Morgan Wick, and Quentin Thomas; and dear friends, Debra and Robert Brown and children, of Waukesha.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 16, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave, Waukesha. Visitation will continue Monday at the church, from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. service, with the Rev. Larry Gates officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Choir Fund, or to the church.
