Marlow J. Martin

Marlow J. Martin of Waukesha died Thursday, July 20, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital at age 92 after a short illness. Marlow was born in Langlade County on July 9, 1914, the son of Gus and Mary (nee Summ) Martin.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from June 1942 to January 1946. On June 8, 1946, he married Charlotte Keyes. Marlow retired from Alloy Products in February 1980 after 30 years of employment. Marlow enjoyed gardening, and his garden was well-known to his neighbors and friends.
Marlow will be sadly missed by his son, Marlow Charles "Marty" Martin of Waukesha; his sister, Sylvia Fleming of Antigo; brother, Leonard Martin of Cudahy; nieces, Lois, Patsy and Eunice; and nephew, Ronnie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Charlotte, in 1999; brothers, Harold and Oscar Martin; sister, Anita McMarro; and niece, Elaine.
Visitation will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 24, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation will continue from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, July 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church, N3480 Highway S, Antigo. Burial will take place at Town of Polar Cemetery.
