Myra K. ‘Minnie’ Dreger

Myra K. "Minnie" Dreger of Waukesha passed away peacefully Sunday, June 4, 2006, at her home with her family by her side, at age 86. Myra was born Feb. 13, 1920, in Norwood, Minn., the daughter of Roswell and Hilda (nee Dietel) Daggett.
She was united in marriage to Lyle "Bud" Zeller, who preceded her in death in 1943. She later married Harvey R. Dreger, with whom she had three daughters. He preceded her in death Aug. 8, 1980. She was a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a Navy W.A.V.E during World War II. Myra was owner and operator of The Livery on Williams Street in Waukesha for many years. She was a member and historian of the Waukesha American Legion Post 8, and also a member of the Elks Lodge #400. Myra was an avid card player and belonged to the Tuesday and Wednesday bridge clubs. She also enjoyed her many travels throughout her later years.
Myra will be deeply missed by her daughters, Kristine Velleman, Patricia (James) Golsteyn and DeVere (Mark) VonDross, all of Waukesha; grandchildren, Tracy Velleman of Appleton, Christopher and Jenna Golsteyn and Max VonDross; and great-grandchildren, Amanda and Rashaad. Myra is also survived by many, many friends.
VIsitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, June 8, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kathy Boadwine officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery, with full military honors provided by the Waukesha American Legion Post 8.
