Gladys M. Olshefski, 81, of Waukesha, died Saturday, June 3, 2006, at AngelsGrace Hospice. She was born in Jackson County on Dec. 31, 1924, to Edward and Sena (nee Flaaten) Jacobson.

On Aug. 25, 1956, she married Francis G. Olshefski. She was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary #721. Gladys was a lover of flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was a devoted and loving grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Francis, and their children, Patricia (David) Whiteside of Eagle, David (fiancee Jodi) Olshefski of Eagle and Daniel (Teri) Olshefski of East Troy. She was a loving grandmother to Eric, Courtney, Kellen, Kory, Stephanie, Sarra and the late Timothy. She was a fond sister to Lilly (the late Floyd) Olson of Black River Falls, Elvina (Russell) Stone of Minneapolis and Andrew (Rachel) Jacobson of Rialto, Calif. Other relatives and friends also survive. In addition to her parents and grandson, she was preceded in death by her brothers, O’Dine and Spencer Jacobson, and her sister, Carrie Jacobson.

Visitation for Gladys was held Tuesday, June 6, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. today, June 7, at Prairie Home Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery office.
