Roland L. ĎBudí Jenkins

July 20, 1925 - June 8, 2006

Roland L. "Bud" Jenkins of Hartland found peace Thursday, June 8, 2006, at age 80.

Bud served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in Philadelphia, where he met his wife of 61 years, Bea (nee Wilson). He proudly served as captain of the Waukesha County Sheriffís Department until his retirement in 1982 after 26 years of service. He also worked for 12 years at Hartbrook Hardware and was a longtime member of Our Saviorís Lutheran Church.

In addition to being the loving husband of Bea, he was the devoted father of Roland L. (Roberta) Jenkins Jr. of Honolulu, Robert H. (Jacqueline) Jenkins of Pewaukee, Bruce E. (Mary Beth) Jenkins of Bismarck, N.D., Maribeth (Richard) Meeusen of Pewaukee and Christine (Douglas) Kennedy of Pewaukee. He was the adored grandfather of 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His brother, Bert Jenkins of Maryland, sisters-in-law, Mary (Dean) Littlejohn of Nashotah and Lois Manicke of Waukesha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends further survive him. He was preceded in death by his son, Jon M. Jenkins, his parents and siblings.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Monday, June 12, at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church, W299-N5782 Highway E, Hartland. Burial will be in Hartland Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AngelsGrace Hospice of Oconomowoc or the charity of donorís choice.
