Evelyn Westerdale (nee Condon)

Evelyn Westerdale (nee Condon), 83, of Pickerel, was born to eternal life Monday, June 19, 2006, at her home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice and her family after a battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 30, 1922, to the late James and Nora (nee Multhauf) Condon. She married Frank Westerdale on Oct. 11, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waukesha. He survives her.
Formerly of Sussex, Evelyn and her husband lived at Lily Lake for the past 18 years and were members of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel. Evelyn loved outdoor activities, including camping, swimming, golf, snowmobiling and boating. She was active in scouting as a den mother for her sons and a Girl Scout leader. She is loved and will be missed by many. Her life in faith and church were very important to her. She led a devoted Christian life and led by example for her family.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, Frank, Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Ann Vuckovic of Waukesha and Carol (Ron) Hein of Hartland; three sons, Carl (Kathy) Westerdale of Eagle, Paul (Barbara) Westerdale of Oconomowoc and Barry (Susan) Westerdale of Johnson Creek; one sister, Gladys Race of Waukesha; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, Bernard Vuckovic; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Race.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, June 23, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel. The Rev. Jeremiah Worman will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Pickerel.
