Lorraine Nelson (nee Greely), 83, a resident of Waukesha since 1960, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006.
Born Dec. 26, 1922, in Kimball, Minn., she was the daughter of Clifford and Ruth Greely. Shortly after her birth, they moved to St. Cloud, Minn. Lorraine graduated from Tech High School, Drews Business College and attended Northwestern Bible College until she married Herb Nelson on May 23, 1943. Lorraine retired from Envirex in Waukesha in 1985 where she was a buyer and purchasing secretary.
She is survived by her three children, Peggy (Robert) Oelschlagel of Arizona, Nancy (Phil) Erk of Waukesha and David (Holly) Nelson of Sussex; four grandchildren, Dawn (Bruce) Hoefler, John Erk, Sandra (Jason) Valentine and Vicki Nelson; and three great-grandchildren, Eric and Emily Hoefler and Kali Erk.
She was a member of Spring Creek Church, formerly Garfield Baptist Church, for 22 years, located at 22000 W. Capitol Drive, where the family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 17. The Rev. Tom Price will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family desires memorials to be given to Spring Creek Church or Shepherd’s Home in Union Grove.
Church and Chapel and Wisconsin Memorial Park assisted the family.
