Mario DiMarcantonio Sr.

Feb. 14, 1922 - March 13, 2006

Mario DiMarcantonio Sr. of Waukesha died Monday, March 13, 2006. He was 84.

Born on Feb. 14, 1922, in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carmen and Maria (nee DiFiore) DiMarcantonio.

In 1943, he served in the Army Air Corps at Gowen Field, Idaho. An employee of the city of Waukesha, he worked for the parks and recreation department for 20 years. As a former pilot, he had a love for aviation. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses North Congregation for 46 years.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Cartwright, whom he married April 20, 1945; his children, Mario Jr. (Michelle) of Waco, Texas, and Bruce (Shari), Ted (Annie) and Lonnie, all of Waukesha; his stepchildren, Joan Wisnieski of Waukesha and Jean Richardson of Minnesota; his sibling, Carmen; his grandchildren, David, Leah (Robert) Cardona, Mario (Andrea) III, Loni (Matthew) Jones, Robert, Katie, Anthony, Nathanael and Adrian; and his great-grandchildren, Breanna, John and McKenna Cardona and Hayley and Hayden DiMarcantonio.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Emma and Frank.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service Monday, March 20, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, W230-S3250 Milky Way Road, Waukesha. The Rev. Michael Becker will officiate.
