Everette P. Kittle

Sept. 12, 1925 - March 23, 2006

Everette P. Kittle, 80, was taken home to his Lord on Thursday, March 23, 2006. He was born Sept. 12, 1925, to Everett and Evelyn Kittle and grew up in Wayne City, Ill.

After serving in the Coast Guard during World War II aboard the USS Poole, he met and married June Weiler on Sept. 28, 1946. Upon graduating from the University of Buffalo in New York, he worked for the state of New York as an auditor.

He moved to Wisconsin where he owned and operated Waukesha Truck sales for 27 years and later managed Auto Werkes for 10 years.

Everette was an active member of the community, serving on the Nashotah Fire Department, the Zion Lutheran Church Board and the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a past president of the village of Nashotah. He was a charter member of Divine Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He will be sadly missed by the light of his life for 59 years, June (nee Weiler); his daughter, Romona (Randy) Howe; his granddaughter, Nora (Jeff); and his grandsons, Ben, Pat and William. He is further survived by his brothers, Dale and Louis (Carol); his sisters, Fran (the late Richard) Schaefer and June (Tony) Lepski; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. until the 7:30 p.m. services Monday, March 27, at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland. The Rev. Allan Jahneke will officiate. Burial will be in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimerís Association, Divine Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Wisconsin Parkinsonís Association. Evert-Luko Funeral Home of Hartland, 367-2156, is assisting the family.
