Virginia ‘Letz’ Arguello Almeida
March 14, 1922 - May 3, 2006
Virginia "Letz" Arguello Almeida of Hales Corners passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at age 84.
Virginia was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Francesca Sanchez Almeida and Jesse Almeida.
Virginia will be proudly remembered by her brother, Joseph (Mary) Almeida of Phoenix; six children, Raymond Bacalzo of Brookfield, Joann (James) Velicer of Ridgecrest, Calif., Rebecca Bacalzo of Milwaukee, Gloria (Arthur) Weckwerth of Waukesha, Erlinda Arguello of Milwaukee and Albert (Kathleen) Arguello of Scottsdale, Ariz.; her eight grandchildren, Gregory (Clare) Velicer, Erik (Rona) Velicer, Steven (Lauri) Bacalzo, Rachel Bacalzo, Peter (Mary) Bacalzo, Jessica Fredrickson, Tracy Weckwerth and Carly Weckwerth; and eight great-grandchildren, Brandon Bacalzo, George, Lorenzo and Peter Bacalzo, Hunter Velicer and Molly, Mitch and Megan Velicer; and many family and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sarah Garza; and her husband, Alberto Arguello.
Virginia is lovingly remembered as a mother, grandma, great-grandma and "Letz."
Her generosity, care, prayers and smile are in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today, May 5, at Alstadt Funeral Home, 4800 S. 84th St., Greenfield. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 9520 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners.
