Alois ‘Al’ J. Cichon

March 8, 1921 - May 7, 2006

Alois "Al" J. Cichon of Waukesha died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at AngelsGrace Hospice at age 85. Al was born in Athens on March 8, 1921, the son of Frank and Agnes Cichon. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Al will be sadly missed by his wife, Joyce; children, Sherry (Tim) Sullivan of Waukesha, Sandra (Marty) Persky of Lincolnwood, Ill., Sharla Wong of Maryland and Michael Cichon of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Kelly (Eric Anderson) and Sean Sullivan, Susan and David Persky and Amber Wong; great-grandchildren, Alex Anderson and William Wong; sister, Virginia (Charles) Schulz; brother, David Cichon; and nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Alvin and Ervin Cichon.

Visitation will be held from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial Mass on Friday, May 19, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery immediately following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Al's name may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
