Irvin T. ‘Irv’ Cobble

Jan. 30, 1932 - May 14, 2006

Irvin T. "Irv" Cobble of Waukesha died Sunday, May 14, 2006, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 74. Irv was born Jan. 30, 1932, in Milwaukee, the son of Gertrude Squires.

He was united in marriage to Helen Schmear. He was employed at RTE-Cooper for 39 years as inventory stocker, retiring at age 62. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting novelty radios. Irv also liked to grow grapes and make wine, which he shared with his friends. He was a fix-it man who could fix anything that broke. But most of all, Irv was a family man, and his children and home always came first.

Irv will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Helen of Waukesha; his four children, Debra Cobble, Steve (Ann) Cobble, Stuart Cobble and Diane Kamke; and one grandchild, Nicole Cobble. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude, and his sister, Elaine Hartfield.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
