John J. Wilber

March 14, 1929 - May 18, 2006

John J. Wilber of Waukesha passed away into a peaceful life Thursday, May 18, 2006, at age 77.

John served our country during World War II. In 1989, he retired from Cooper Industries - formerly known as RTE. While working for RTE, he was a core builder and worked in the shipping department. John was a sincere man, who kept his family and the many friends he made over the years very near and dear to his heart. He always had a kind word and smile.

He is the loving husband and lifelong companion to Annacille (nee Zenefski); cherished father of Gary (Rosemarie Scheidt) Wilber, Kristi (Earl) Kline, Wendy (Jim Smith) Wilber, Peggy (Michael) Kane, Lori Wilber-Wollenberg and Tom (Betty) Wilber; devoted grandfather of Michael, Jason, Julie, Karrie, Justin, Tracy, Jonathon, Jayde and Aaron; great-grandfather of Ryan, Joshua, Montana, Alyssa, Hunter, Dylan, Collin and Kylee; and brother of Charles Wilber and Francis Gue. John is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the 5 p.m. funeral service Monday, May 22, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
