Donald R. Hansen, 75, of Pewaukee, passed away peacefully Monday, May 29, 2006, while surrounded by family.

Born on Oct. 29, 1930, in Waukesha, he was the son of the late Alfred and Irene Hansen.

A Pewaukee High School Class of 1948 graduate, he also attended University of Wisconsin Agricultural School. Don served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 and was stationed in Germany.

On Sept. 27, 1958, he married Suzanne Plehn. He was the owner of the family business in Pewaukee, Hansen Heating. Don enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing and many other sports, and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived as the beloved husband of Suzanne and the loving father of Donald G. (Jenny), Lisa (Shawn) O’Hern, Chris (Kim) and Mark (Angela). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Trisha and Christopher Beck, Jenna (Jason) Gollnick, D.J. Hansen, Geoffrey and Lynsey De Witt, Alex O’Hern, Jake Hansen and Austin, Evan, Haylie and Carson Hansen; his great-grandson, Nicholas Gollnick; his siblings, Lois Hansen, Al Hansen, Richard (Mary Lou) Hansen, Mary Stamp, Susan Hansen and his twin, Dorothy (Charles) Lipp; his sister-in-law, Arlene Hansen; his brothers-in-law, George (Shari) Plehn and Junior (Roger) Ruf; his foster daughters, Deeley (John) Rodowca and Dorthy Modzelewski; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his brother, Gerald Hansen; his sister-in-law, Eunice Hansen; and his brother-in-law, Robert Stamp.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Thursday, June 1, at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 642 Main St., Pewaukee. Internment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Pewaukee.

If desired, memorials can be directed to Gethsemane United Methodist Church or to the Pewaukee Historical Society.
