Hilda S. McTrusty

Hilda S. McTrusty (formerly Kresge) (nee Becker) was born to eternal life Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at age 95. Hilda was born to Henry and Magdalena Becker of Hartford on Dec. 20, 1910, and moved to Merton in 1917. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. McTrusty.
In 1935, she married the late Jerome Kresge. They moved to Milwaukee and raised two daughters, Emmaline and Delores. She later married Robert McTrusty in 1958. Hilda worked at Wolf's Bakery, Smokeshop and Restaurant in West Allis for 10 years until the time it closed.
She is survived by a daughter, Delores (Howard) Dary of Mukwonago; stepson, Dr. Robert (Dorothy) McTrusty of Texas; stepdaughter, Marilyn (Waldemar) Semrau of Michigan; and sister-in-law, Marie McTrusty of Michigan. She was the grandmother of David Adams, Carolyn (James) Laven, Sherry (Randy) Schwandt, Michael (Michelle) Adams, Jacqueline (Deryl) Nazor, Jeanne Fisher, Julie Yount, Robert McTrusty IV, Paul (Tamera) McTrusty, Marion McTrusty, Gregory (Carol) Semrau and Jeoffrey (Cindy) Semrau. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Magdalena Becker; daughter, Emmaline (John) Brodhagen; brothers, Oscar (Alma) Becker and Marvin (Adela) Becker; sisters, Selma (Fred) LaCombe, Mildred (Walter) Mindemann and Amanda Becker; sisters-in-law, Margie (Johnny) Motz and Ruth (Able) Otto; and brothers-in-law, Lloyd McTrusty and Oscar Baehler.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Nov. 2, at Church and Chapel Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Private interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Nativity Evangelical Lutheran Church are appreciated.
