Margaret K. Panawash

Margaret K. Panawash, 85, of Waukesha, was born to eternal life Monday, Nov. 6, 2006.

She was born March 15, 1921, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Alfred and Helen (nee Brede) Knapke.

Margaret was a graduate of Waukesha High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She had been employed with the family business, Knapke’s Badger Paint Store in Waukesha, for many years and retired as the associate director of the YWCA in Waukesha. Margaret was a longtime and faithful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald C. Panawash. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Janette Lewnau and Bernice Lynch. She was the loving aunt of Ellen Lingle, Judy Lewnau, Kathy (Ron) Pederson, Larry Lynch, Linda Lynch, James (Michelle) Lynch and Robert (Cindy) Lynch. She is further survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. Interment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorials to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
