Mildred B. Moldenhauer, formerly of Waukesha, was born to eternal life Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at age 92. Millie was born in Genesee Depot on Jan. 9, 1914, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Emma (nee Zimmerman) Price.

Millie graduated from Waukesha High School in 1932 and the Wisconsin Academy of Cosmetic Arts in 1933. She married Vernon A. "Moldy" Moldenhauer on Oct. 20, 1933, in Waukegan, Ill., and he preceded her in death Sept. 18, 1986.

Millie managed her own beauty salon in downtown Waukesha from 1933 to 1959 and then worked as a sales clerk at Hoehle Drug Store from 1959 to 2002. She retired on Nov. 25, 2002, at age 88. Millie and Moldy enjoyed going to Florida for many winters and she liked to bowl, dance, golf, knit, go on day trips, go to dinner theaters and to visit her family and friends.

Millie was a member of First Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years and was also a member of Mariners, Care Wise, Waukesha Elks Ladies, Council of Senior Citizens, Golden Agers, Golden Opportunity and the Waukesha Parks & Recreation Department. She and Moldy also belonged to Foot Notes Dance Club for many years. They also enjoyed many wonderful Waukesha and Florida friendships over the years.

Millie will be remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Pat Moldenhauer of Osceola; her granddaughters, Lisa Moldenhauer of Milwaukee and Sara (Wayne) Moldenhauer Solland of New Richmond; great-grandson, Trevor Joseph Solland; and her niece, Gloria Norris of Freeport, Ill.

In addition to her parents and husband, Millie was preceded in death by her brothers, Dave and Frederick Price, and her grandson, Joseph Moldenhauer.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Nov. 28, at First Presbyterian Church, 810 N. East Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. David Ellis officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery. Please meet at the office.
