Robert E. Klann

April 15, 1922 - Nov. 26, 2006

Robert E. Klann of Dousman was surrounded by his loving family when he was called home to God by his angels Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at age 84. He was born on April 15, 1922, in Milwaukee, the son of Erwin and Caroline (Rydzik) Klann.

He was an active member of St. Bruno’s Catholic Church in Dousman, a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, serving in World War II, a member of American Legion Post 490, Knights of Columbus, and was retired from Milwaukee Electric Tool.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (nee Degenhardt); children, Kathleen (Thomas Stuart) Wergin, Deborah (Richard) Muller, Mary (Jack) Gosenheimer, Linda (Daniel) Pauley and Robert J. Klann; stepchildren, Cindy (Jeffrey) Higbee, Pamela (Timothy) Pero, Vicki Brown, Yvonne (Kyle) Barr, Suzanne (Chris) Kirshman and Allan (Mattie) Seidl Jr.; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores (Ken) Graham and Betty Travis; brother, Greg; and nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice, and sons, Daniel, David and Michael.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial Friday, Dec. 1, at St. Bruno’s Catholic Church in Dousman. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee with military honors. Please meet at the cemetery.
