George W. Kienzler

George W. Kienzler, 79, of Waukesha, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at the Avalon Square.

He was born in Springfield, Ill., on June 23, 1927, to George and Clementine (nee Burger) Kienzler. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946. On Sept. 11, 1954, he married Margaret V. (nee Sheedy) Kienzler. She preceded him in death in 2003.

He was employed by the IRS as chief of intelligence for criminal investigations, retiring in 1980. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid fisherman and a boating enthusiast.

Survivors include his four children, William Kienzler of Waukesha, Steve Kienzler of OakGrove, Mo., Ann (Dennis) Gogin of Waukesha and Joe Kienzler of Orlando, Fla. He was the proud grandpa of Carley, Amy and Robby Gogin and Jacob Kienzler. He is further survived by his sisters, the late Mary (Vernon) Schafer of Springfield, Ill., Delores (the late Robert) Pellman of Springfield, Ill., and Sr. Martha Kienzler of Morris, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held today, Oct. 2, 2006, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a parish vigil service at 5:30 p.m. Services continue on Tuesday with prayers at the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. and then to St. Marys Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, for the funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
