Agnes (nee Heinzelman) Rice, 85, of East Troy, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006 at Kiwanis Manor. She was born to Gabriel and Hattie (nee Cafemeyer) Heinzelman on June 19, 1921.

She was a high school graduate and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Womenﾕs Corp. Along with Mary Edwards, she owned Giles Restaurant for 15 years. After selling the restaurant, she continued to cook there. She was a long-time resident of the East Troy area. She was a member of St. Paulﾕs Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Oct. 7, at St. Paulﾕs Lutheran Church, 2665 North St., East Troy, where the Rev. Kujath will officiate. A private interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery.
