Josephine Doherty, 84, a long-time town of Brookfield resident, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Joseph and Mary (nee Viktor) Rosecky on May 16, 1922, in Germantown.
She was a graduate of MATC, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting. For many years, Josephine worked as a Bookkeeper for Bruce Pollock Realty. She was a veteran of World War II, serving in the W.A.V.E.S. She met and married Robert Doherty in 1952. Josephine was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Bob (Elizabeth) Doherty, John (Hau) Doherty and Patty (Jim) Bublitz; grandchildren, Robert and Emily Doherty and Sarah and Mary Bublitz; and a special niece, Judy (Deacon Ron) Hesson. Other relatives and friends also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1972, her son James, daughter Mary, sister Mary Javorsky and brother Frank Rosecky.
Visitation for Josephine will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha, followed by the 6 p.m. funeral Mass. Burial will be private.
