Leon J. Sailer

Leon J. Sailer, 72, of Delafield, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Elmbrook Hospital. He was born May 14, 1934, in Little Black, the son of Conrad and Clara (nee Mertens) Sailer.
He married Elena Frankic on May 16, 1956, in Austin, Texas.
As a former truck mechanic for Barry Inc. of Milwaukee, he was a member of Machinist Local 510. Leon was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Elena ﾒFrankieﾓ Sailer; his children, Donald (Theresa) Sailer of St. Petersburg, Fla., Sherry (Jim) Otto of Harshaw, Christine (Larry) Hudson of Delafield, Becky (Ron) Heulitt of New Braunfels, Texas, and Carol (Mike Stecker) Sailer of Montello; and his siblings, Earl Sailer of Wisconsin Rapids, Marjorie Lueth of West Bend, Winnefred (Millard) Glasshof of Milwaukee, Doris Harder of Oconomowoc, Florence ﾒFritzeﾓ Mueller of West Allis, Gordon (Enid) Sailer of West Bend, Glen (Ada) Sailer of Colorado, James Sailer of Milwaukee, Raymond ﾒBuddyﾓ (Nancy) Sailer of Pewaukee and Gail Stevens of Georgia. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, Conrad and Clara, and two sisters.
The funeral service and visitation are at noon Saturday, Oct. 21, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 120 Nashotah Road, Nashotah, with the Rev. Mike Strachota officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Rapids Cemetery in Nokomis.
