Bruce D. Bien, 57, of Oconomowoc, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1949, in Berwyn, Ill., the son of Harold and Mary (nee Risian) Bien.
He was manager of the "Cardinal 83" Mobil station on Highway 83 in Hartland. He was a member of the Valley Rod and Gun Club in Merton and graduated as an Evanís Scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Winger; his stepchildren, Jaime (Gary) Troedel of Hartford and Michael Roe of Oconomowoc; his siblings, Harold (Bernadett) Bien of Winfield, Ill., Gail Bien of Oak Park, Ill., and Sandra (Eric) Braun of Chandler, Ariz.; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Darven Winger.
A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Oct. 22, at Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc. The Rev. Karen Natterstad will officiate. Bruce will be cremated.
The family appreciates memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the Valley Rod and Gun Club.
