Charles W. Elftman

Charles W. Elftman, 78, of Watertown, passed away surrounded by his family Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006.

Born on July 31, 1928, in Dunn County, he was the son of Charles and Lottie (nee Britton) Elftman. After spending his early years there, he moved to Waukesha and was employed as a machinist. He retired from HUSCO International after 25 years of service.

Charles enjoyed woodworking, flowers, gardening and working with his hands. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all.

Surviving are his loving wife, Geraldine (nee Richardson), of 56 years and his children, Linda (Keith) Woolridge, Charles (Annette), Geraldine (Darrell) Honea of Tennessee, Kevin (Susan) of Florida, Bryan (Sally), Clay (Trish) and Kurt (Leigh) of New York. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sarah (Luke) Crossman, Eric, Megan, C.J., Michael, Kyle, Jamie, Katie, Bill, Jenni, Jake and Elizabeth; his sisters, Fern Tollefson and Charlotte (Wayne) Asplund; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is predeceased by two brothers and four sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, with a memorial visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
