Jane E. Tinnes, born October 1st, 1920, in Hartland to Hugo and Mary (nee Koch) Cammenga, passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side Wednesday, August 30th.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Jim, daughters Karen (Don) Medler and Mary Pagliaro, grandchildren John Medler, Jane (Mark) Busbia, Jodi (Dan) Cote, and Paul Pagliaro, and great-grandchildren Devon and Connor Busbia, and Chelsea Cote. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Dunsay, brother Chuck Cammenga, sisters Joanie, Betty Andersen, and Shirley Wery, and her former husband, Earl Tinnes.

Jane was a gentle, gracious, kind person. She loved her family and friends and her church. She cared about others, and greatly appreciated those who cared for her. Jane liked to dress with a flair, get her nails done, and wear her funky earrings. She enjoyed reading a good book, playing Sheepshead, taking a walk by the river, and she loved baseball and the Brewers.

Special thanks to the kind and caring staff at Oak Hill Village. You meant the world to her and to us. You made her life so much better. Thank you also to the extraordinary staff from VITAS Hospice for their tender, compassionate care.

At Jane’s request, her body was donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin.

There will be a celebration of Jane’s life on Saturday, September 30th, at 5:00 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha.

Memorials are welcomed to Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp Street, Waukesha, WI 53188, or to VITAS Hospice, 2675 North Mayfair Road, Suite 480, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.

And ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.
