Rosalia ‘Rose’ Foldesi

Rosalia "Rose" (nee Pal) Foldesi died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Wyndham House in Pewaukee. She was 94.

She was born Sept. 2, 1912, in Budapest, Hungary, and came to the U.S. in 1966. Along with her late husband Josef, Rose owned and operated a beauty salon and barber shop for 40 years. Rose started oil painting when she came to this country and was a wonderful artist.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Marika (Larry) Zimmerman, Michelle (Christian) Olson and Mike (Cassandra) Kiss; her great-grandchildren, Jessica, David, Morgan, Makenzie and Matthew; her sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth, both of Hungary; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Josef Foldesi.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha. The service is at 5 p.m. A private entombment will be held.
