Gerald P. Stebbins

Gerald P. Stebbins, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at his Waukesha home.

He was born June 19, 1922 in Chicago to Harold and Muriel (nee Hubbard) Stebbins.

He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. After his discharge, he married the former Ardath Lamerson. She preceded him in death on Jan. 9, 1993. Gerald was a 1948 graduate of the UW-Madison pharmacology program. He worked at many pharmacies over the years, including St. Luke’s Hospital and the Veterans Administration.

Gerald is survived by his children, Gregory Stebbins of Milwaukee, Nancy (Rodney) Nowakowski of Cedarburg and Susan Stebbins of Waukesha; his special friend and companion, Karen Smith of Waukesha; grandchildren, Michael (Shaina) Nowakowski of Colorado and Thomas Nowakowski of Cedarburg; sister-in-law, Bernice Stebbins of Illinois and brother-in-law, Paul Miresse, also of Illinois. He is further survived by his canine companions, Sadie, K.C. and Schatzie. Other relatives and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold, and sister, Patricia Miresse.

Visitation for Mr. Stebbins will be held Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church, N27-W24000 Paul Court (Highway 164-N and Highway M), Pewaukee. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
