Robert ‘Bob’ J. Murdock

Robert "Bob" J. Murdock, 77, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at his residence in Troy Center. He was born Dec. 19, 1928, in Burlington, the son of Samuel and Faye Murdock.
He was a lifelong resident of Troy Center. Bob farmed for more than 60 years, and was the fifth generation to work the family farm. He also worked for the Department of Natural Resources and was president of the Quarterline-Evergreen Cemetery Association for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary (nee Brereton); his children, Faye (Derrayl) Brugge, Bobbi Reichenberger and Sam (Cindy) Murdock; grandchildren, Garett (Chrissy), Chad, Becky, Erin, Mary and RJ; great grandchildren, Noah and Blake; and sister, Shirley Voght, all of East Troy. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacke; sisters, Mary Jane and Gertrude Hall; and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 103 Eagle St., Eagle. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at the funeral home. The Rev. Lucinda Alwa will officiate with burial at Quarterline-Evergreen Cemetery in the town of Troy.
