Bessie Marie "Robbie" Westphal of Centreville, Va., died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Inova-Fair Oaks Hospital. She was born Sept. 27, 1926, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Harry and Ethel Myers Robinson.

She resided in Waukesha until moving to Virginia in 1986. She served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. She had been a customer service representative at the Fair Oaks Mall in Virginia for several years.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jack W. Westphal, whom she met during her service in the Army Air Corps and married Oct. 14, 1944. She is also survived by her children, Jerome Westphal, David Westphal and his wife Mary, Mark Westphal, Marcie Tuggle and her husband Don, and Brian Westphal; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Susan Stevanus and her husband Tim.

She was preceded in death by two sons; Stephen and Jack Westphal.

Graveside services will take place with full military honors at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha. Please meet at the cemetery office off of Prairie Avenue.
