Gerald G. ‘Gerry’ Asmann

Gerald G. "Gerry" Asmann of Mukwonago entered into Jesus’ arms Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was 69. Gerry was born Sept. 14, 1937, in Racine, the son of Peter and Verna (nee Vyvyan) Asmann.
On Aug. 1, 1959, he married Margaret Huck at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Racine.
Gerry taught in the Mukwonago Public School system for 17 years and was also the athletic director there for 17 years. In 2004, he was inducted into the Mukwonago High School Hall of Fame. Gerry was a member of the WEA, the American Legion Post #375, Mukwonago, the Mukwonago Exhausted Jaycees and St. James Catholic Church, Mukwonago.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Maggie"; his children, Peter (Penni) Asmann and Amy (David) Knowlton; his grandchildren, Vincent and Brett Asmann; sisters and brother, Beatrice (Louis) Alderson, Kathie (Bob) Benhart, Grace (Bob) Mears and Leonard (Mary) Asmann; a brother-in-law, William (Marcia) Huck; sisters-in-law, Ann DeBrabander and Ellen Huck; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Asmann; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Asmann; and two brothers-in-law, Edward Huck and Arthur DeBrabander.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial liturgy Monday, April 9, at St. James Catholic Church, 830 Highway NN East, Mukwonago.
