Judith Ann Mueller

July 15, 1935 - April 2, 2007

Judith Ann Mueller (nee Gross) passed away peacefully Monday evening, April 2, 2007, at age 71.

She was born July 15, 1935, and lived her younger years in Fox Point. She graduated in 1951 from Lawrence University in Appleton. Judy was involved with Sigma Pi sorority activities and enjoyed many friendships. She married William G. Meier III on June 14, 1958, and lived in Wadsworth, Ill., working for the telephone company and raising her three daughters. The family spent summer months at their Lake Laura cottage in the Star Lake area, where she enjoyed fishing, nature and boating activities.

Judy supported her daughters' interests and school activities and was a Girl Scout leader for several years. She worked as a secretary, a representative for Family Circle magazine and at Harris Data and Chiro-tech. She enjoyed her retired years with her lunch-bunch gal pals and her husband, Richard Mueller, on Riverside Farm in Waukesha. The couple loved their draft horse hobby, collecting antiques and driving their horses in parades. She enjoyed the Amish culture, along with canning/preserving her own garden harvests. Judy was an avid nature lover, interested in wild flowers, birds, feeding deer and ducks. Throughout her life, she loved many pets: a variety of indoor and outdoor cats, bred dachshunds, a basset hound, a bunny, French geese and her beloved Wheaton terrier, Oliver.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Lynn (Gary) Conte (nee Meier), Linda Rae (Russell) Rieth (nee Meier) and Patricia Ann Falvey (nee Meier). She was also a loving grandmother to Alyssa and Bryanna Falvey, Bryan, Meredith, Michael and Isabelle Rieth. She was the stepmother of Tom (Marcia) Mueller, Steve (Cindy) Mueller and Sue (Steve) Berg and loving stepgrandmother to Alisha, Steven, Rudy and Gabrielle Berg and Monica and Matthew Mueller.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Monday, April 9, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
