Thomas ĎTomí J. Gilham

March 20, 1937 - April 6, 2007

Thomas "Tom" J. Gilham, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 6, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 70. Tom was born March 20, 1937, the son of Winfred and Ethel Gilham.

Tom and Patricia (nee Trevorrow) were united in marriage Dec. 17, 1960. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed sporting clays at Wern Valley Sportsmanís Club. Tom loved all sports and recreation, but mostly enjoyed spending summers with his family at their cottage on Lower Genesee Lake.

After graduating from Waukesha High School in 1955, Tom graduated from Carroll College in 1961 with a degree in economics. Tom started his career in the insurance business, and after 30 years sold his company American Insurance Management and retired. He enjoyed a second career as a mortgage broker, retiring from Equitable Bank. Tom will be deeply missed by his wife, Patricia "Pat" (nee Trevorrow) Gilham; his children, Tricia (Dan) Mokros of Waukesha, Tracy (Jeff) Schultz of Waukesha and Tiffany Leitner (Mark Davis) of Waukesha; and grandchildren, Drew, Kim, Nick, Zack, Emma, Tommy, Tyler and Marc. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Ethel Gilham; brother, Wyn; and sister, Sandra.

Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service today, April 10, at Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Road, Brookfield. The Rev. Brodie Swanson will officiate. A private burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery.
