Eustuchico ‘Augie’ Lupone

June 17, 1928 - April 10, 2007

Eustuchico "Augie" Lupone, 78, of Termain in Dousman, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. Augie was born June 17, 1928, in Waukesha, the son of James and Alice Lupone. Augie had been employed at General Castings in Waukesha. He and his late wife, Madie, owned and operated Augie and Madie’s Someplace in Eagle. He was a past president of Waukesha County Tavern League, a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, the Eagle Lions Club, the Eagle American Legion Post 535 and the Eagle Fire Department. He also was a veteran of World War II.

Augie is survived by his son, James Lupone of Michigan; daughter, Margie (Brian) Rakowski of the town of Genesee; seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Gaal of Waukesha. Augie is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Augie was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline "Madie" (nee Weber); brother, Fred; and a sister, Phyllis Weston.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until a 7:30 p.m. Bible vigil Friday, April 13, at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 103 Eagle St., Eagle. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle with the Rev. Paul Esser officiating. Interment to follow at St. Theresa Cemetery in Eagle.
