James M. ĎJimí Wiesenthal

James M. "Jim" Wiesenthal of Waukesha died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 71. Jim was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Waukesha, the son of Marvin and Leona (nee Roets) Wiesenthal.

Jim was an administrative assistant for the Waukesha Water Utility, a member of American Legion Post 8, the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ and an avid gardener.

Jim will be sadly missed by his wife, Maryon (nee Davies), who he married Aug. 20, 1960; his son, Ward Wiesenthal of Waukesha; his daughters, Barbara (Michael) Sprecher of Waukesha and Laurie (Angelo) Matelli of Janesville. He was affectionately known as "Pa" by his four grandchildren, Sarah Sprecher, Jon Sprecher, James R. "Jake" Wiesenthal and Asia Matelli. Jim is also survived by his brother, William (Joyce) Wiesenthal of Waukesha; sister, Jean (Chuck) Kolstad of Nekoosa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service for Jim will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A visitation will take place Wednesday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service. Memorials in Jimís name can be made to the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ Rebuilding Fund, 1220 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53168.
