Dona Dean of Waukesha died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 74. She was born Sept. 1, 1932, in Glen Flora, the daughter of Julius and Elsie (Koser) Balko.
Dona was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where she was active in Bible study and prayer groups. She participated in Encore, a breast cancer support group, and enjoyed her card club, bowling league, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dona will be sadly missed by her children, Cheryle (Mike) Radke of Waukesha, Gary (Kim) Dean of Grafton, Annette Dean of Slinger and Stephanie (Tim) Golden of Waukesha, and her grandchildren, Adam and Amanda Radke, Kallie, Kevin and Kraig Dean and Luke and Jaelie Golden. She is further survived by four brothers, four sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dona was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 2003.
A visitation for Dona will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday, April 22, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, at Prairie Home Cemetery.
