Beverly (John) Hass, 74, of Waukesha, formerly of Green Bay, died peacefully Saturday, April 21, 2007, following a long illness. She was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Green Bay to Allie and Loraine (Fonder) John.
Beverly graduated from Green Bay East High School with the Class of 1949. She later attended the nursing program at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn., and graduated with a degree in nursing. Bev was employed at many area medical clinics and hospitals in Milwaukee and Green Bay. She enjoyed playing tennis and golf with her family and friends. Beverly was a longtime member of the MS Society.
Beverly is survived by two children and a son-in-law, Heidi and Lloyd Silk of Denver; and Brian Hass, Waukesha; four grandchildren, Daniel, Chandler, Lindsey and Lauren; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Don Vanderheyden Green Bay; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Richard and Betty John, and Marie John, all of Green Bay; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward, Norman and David John; and two infant brothers, Allie and Joseph.
Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, at Division and Fisk streets, Green Bay, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery in Allouez.
Beverly’s family thanks all the nurses and staff at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center and Vitas Hospice for all the wonderful care given to Beverly and her whole family.
A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
