Christopher A. Sims, 57, died of heart failure Friday, April 13, 2007.
Chris was born Nov. 5, 1949, in Madison, to Robert O. and Jean Sims.
After Chris graduated from Waukesha South High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam. When he returned home, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and later went to work for AT&T and Frito Lay.
Chris enjoyed playing the stock market and finished his work career in 2002, retiring full time to his home in Big Bend. He was a master hearts player, sports enthusiast and loved his cars, particularly his Dodge Vipers. He died up north on Faulkner Lake, where his heart was.
Chris is survived by his mother, Jean Sims; brothers, Dan, Jon (Buck) and Andy; sister, Merrie; along with nieces, nephews and a host of good friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sims, in May 2004.
A celebration of his life will be held with family and friends at noon Saturday, April 28, with a service at 2 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road, Waukesha.
