George S. Berzowski

George S. Berzowski of Brookfield, formerly of St. Francis, died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at age 84. George was born Oct. 8, 1922, the son of Stanley and Zofia (nee Augustowski) Berzowski.
He was united in marriage to Frances Paczkowski on May 26, 1945. George was employed at Sorbus for many years. He was a former member of the St. Francis School Board for 14 years and retired as a municipal judge in St. Francis after 14 years of service. He also served as a reserve judge in Milwaukee for more than five years. George proudly served in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps and he served more than 20 years in the Air Force Reserves, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
George will be sadly missed by his wife, Frances of Waukesha; daughters, Cynthia Hart of Chippewa Falls, Mary (Charles) Garcia of Hartland and Kathleen (Frank) Menchero of California; sons, Neal (Joan-Marie) Berzowski of Green Bay and James (Robin) Berzowski of Shorewood; four grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Monday, Aug. 6, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 3635 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., St. Francis. Burial will immediately follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
