Robert B. Pearson

Robert B. "Bob" Pearson, 75, of Wales, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at LindenGrove Health Care Center in Waukesha. He was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Waukesha, the son of Homer and LaVerne (nee Austin).

He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1950, then opened Pearson Builders in 1956, where he continued working until his retirement in 1997. Bob married Sandra Schmidt on July 10, 1965, and together they took a driving honeymoon to Panama. He was a charter member of the Waukesha Civil War Club, and enjoyed firing his cannon during Civil War reenactments. He also enjoyed collecting a variety of things, including old cars and airplanes, and was a charter member of the Waukesha Old Car Club. Bob had many hobbies such as flying remote control airplanes, racing boats in his youth, and traveling. His adventures even led him to Alaska, where he spent one whole summer with a friend, and then to Guatemala.

Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra; his sister, Joan Baumhover of Waukesha; brother-in-law, Richard (Pat) Schmidt of Waukesha; nieces, Carol (David) Schroeder of North Prairie, Ann (Will) Bowlin of Florida, Barbara Jones of Waukesha and Laura Lau of Waukesha; nephews, Robert (Tina) Baumhover of Mukwonago, and David (Michele) Schmidt of Texas.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.
