Robert L. Brandemuehl

Robert L. Brandemuehl of East Troy passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at his residence. He was 79. Robert was born in Waukesha on July 31, 1928, the son of Henry and Cecelia (nee Heller) Brandemuehl.

Robert worked at the former Holz & Swan Feed Mill in Mukwonago. He also owned a mail trucking business and was a former employee of the Waukesha County Highway Department.

Robert was a former volunteer fireman for the Mukwonago Fire Department. He loved to play cards, go to auctions and take care of his chickens and turkeys.

Survivors include his children, Kathy Gapinski, Tom (JoAnn) and Dori (Dan) Blaedow; his grandchildren, Krista, Mike (Jody), Angie (Sal), Nick, T.J., Jason, Scott and Brittany; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Noah; a sister, Alice (Gerald) Shevey; a brother, Jerry (Rosie); the mother of his children and devoted caregiver, Betty Brandemuehl; a special friend, Dolly Crocket; and stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Hank, Rich and Jackie; three sisters, Gladys, Betty and Gracie; and two wives, Eunice and Karen.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Aug. 11, at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. Interment will be at St. Peterís Cemetery, East Troy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Golden Agers of Waukesha County or to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
