Glenn W. Huebner of Hartland passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at age 79. He was born Jan. 12, 1928, to parents Walter and Nydia Huebner.
Glenn received his masterís degree in chemical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also served as a captain in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Glenn worked for the Allen Bradley Corp. as a chemical engineer for 30 years. Following his retirement, he began teaching at Waukesha County Technical College until 2006. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Hartland, as well as the City of Delafield Recycling Center Committee. He was also an avid sheepshead player, reader and enjoyed studying ancient religions and going out to eat with family and friends.
Glenn was the beloved husband of the late LoAnn; loving dad of Ann (Doug) Roberts of Nashotah and Mark (Tracey) Huebner of Hartland; and proud grandpa of Jacob, Kyle and Alexander. He is further survived by his brother, Wally (Dottie) Huebner of Fort Myers, Fla., as well as many friends, colleagues and students.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nydia Hackbarth.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Aug. 11, at First Congregational Church, 111 Church St., Hartland. His final rest will be in Hartland Village Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission or the church.
