Frances M. ‘Mickey’ Giese

Frances M. "Mickey" Giese of Mukwonago passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. She was 84.
Frances was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Mukwonago, the daughter of William and Minnie (nee Zimmermann) Wilke. In 1940, she married Edward T. Giese in Milwaukee. Edward preceded her in death April 14, 1994.
Frances was a member of the Mukwonago and East Troy senior citizens clubs, and a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mukwonago.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Janice) Giese of Mount Prospect, Ill..; four grandchildren, Michael (Mary Ellen) Giese of Chicago, David Giese of Arlington Heights, Ill., Steven Giese of Kenosha and Sheryl Giese of Chicago; a sister, Anna Thurloff of Florida; a brother-in-law, Charles Giese of Butler; a sister-in-law, Jane Wilke of West Bend; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she also was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Scott Giese; two brothers, Robert and William Wilke; and a sister, Elinor Rose.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Aug. 19, at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Kieth Kuschel will officiate. Visitation continues from 11 a.m. until the time of a committal service at noon Monday, Aug. 20, at Wisconsin Memorial Park in the Family Center’s South Chapel, Brookfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mukwonago or AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc are appreciated.
