Zachary was born April 20, 1992, the son of Louis and Anne (nee Fischer) Juhlmann. He attended Banting and Bethesda elementary schools, Butler Middle School and most recently began his freshman year at Waukesha West High School. Zach, joyful in hope and positive in all circumstances, loved his life, living it deeply and fully. Never desiring special treatment, Zach relished attending school, especially his art, science lab and personal finance classes and socializing with his friends. Zach, known for his sense of humor and "best" laugh resounding down hallways, schemed jokes to play on his nurses, doctors and family and relished Aprilís Fools Day. With his vivid imagination, Zach wrote amazing stories, created impressive art pieces and invented spicy and elaborate recipes. He favored watching movies, especially "Star Wars," loved all things Nintendo and saved his money to purchase electrical items at his favorite store, Best Buy. He delighted in making presents for people and winning chess. The synergy of Zachís joy, profound compassion, optimism and perseverance left a lasting impression on all who met him, leaving this world a brighter place.

Zachary joins his "best brother," Samuel Juhlmann, who preceded Zachary in death March 3, 2005.

Zachary is lovingly remembered by his parents, Louis and Anne Juhlmann; two sisters, Brittany and Abigail Juhlmann; grandparents, Louis and Sharon Juhlmann of New Jersey, Mary Jo and Frank Balistreri of the town of Genesee and John and Patty Fischer of Florida; aunts and uncles, Mike and Elaine Fischer, Maribeth Fischer, Sean Russell, David Cieri, James (Clarie) Juhlmann, Darren (Debbie) Juhlmann, Sarah Juhlmann, Alex Fischer and Matt Fischer; as well as a large extended family.

Zacharyís family expresses deep appreciation to blood donors, Home Care Medical, the Waukesha School District, the community and Childrenís Hospital staff who continually went above and beyond allowing Zachary to have the best life. The family is especially grateful to Dr. Peter Havens, Zach and Samís primary care doctor, for his excellent care of and passionate dedication to the boys.
