Barbara Wedlock Rinne

Barbara Jean Wedlock Rinne, 84, of Eagle River, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007. She was born April 12, 1923, in Junction City, the daughter of Nelson and Hazel (nee Harford) Wedlock.

As a young child, she and her family moved to Waukesha, where she attended Waukesha public schools, graduating from Waukesha High School in 1940.

Barbara was employed as a secretary at Waukesha Motor Co., the First Presbyterian Church, Carroll College and finally First Baptist Church at the time of her retirement.

Barbara was married to Jerry (Sarge) Rinne. After retiring, they moved to Sugar Camp. Jerry preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1997. After his death, Barbara moved to Eagle River to be nearer her daughter and son-in-law.

Barbara was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed reading. She was a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous. With her quick wit and friendly spirit, Barbara brought laughter and joy to all who were acquainted with her.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Ollenburg, Winifred Eichstaedt and Joyce Tucker.

Survivors include a daughter, Jill (Terry) Kunes of Eagle River; two granddaughters, Kimberly (David) Johnson of Seattle and Pamela (Paul) Kunes-Milheiser of Kaukauna; and three great-grandsons, Samuel, Preston and Quinn.

A funeral service and celebration of her life were held Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, with the Rev. Margaret Johnson officiating.
