Richard W. Simon

Richard W. Simon of Waukesha, formerly of Milwaukee, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at age 85.

Richard was proud to have served as a World War II veteran in the Navy and also the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Coast Guard, spanning 39 years. Richard was also a retired Milwaukee County Deputy Sheriff, serving for more than 25 years.

He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Fischer); dear father of Linda (Al) Wollschlager and Ric (Gail) Simon; loving grandfather of Jeff (Angie), Dave (Lotus) Wollschlager and Nicole and Shantelle Simon; great-grandfather of Jacob, Ian and Kaden Wollschlager; and brother of the late Ralph (the late Audrey) Simon. He also is survived by one niece, two nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Dec. 9, at Heritage Funeral Homeís New Berlin Chapel, 16880 W. National Ave., New Berlin. The Rev. Frank Janzow and the Rev. Jim Bickel will be officiating. Interment will be at Arlington Park Cemetery.
