Margaret ‘Muggs’ ‘Margy’ Fabisiak

Feb. 25, 1957 - Dec. 14, 2007

Margaret "Muggs" "Margy" Fabisiak, lifelong resident of Waukesha, was born to eternal rest Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer at age 50.

Margaret was born Feb. 25, 1957, the daughter of Gregory and Eleanor (Moore) Fabisiak. Margaret started playing the organ and piano at age 10. She enjoyed playing at church Masses and weddings. She loved to dance and competed through Fred Astaire dance studio. She chaperoned the Waukesha South cheerleaders to their national competition in Florida and the choir to Boston for her niece, Melissa. Margaret started her 33rd year working with the city of Waukesha on Oct. 1, 2007, and for nine of those years she worked in the engineering department. From 1984 to the present, Margaret worked in the information technology department, where she loved working with a great boss and friend, Brett Mantey, and all of her other IT co-workers. When she was not working, she loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed karaoke, bowling, crocheting, knitting, traveling, going to Noah’s Ark with her niece, Miranda, and spending time with her friends. Margaret also loved driving.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Gregory and Eleanor Fabisiak; sister, Mary Ann (David) Idleman; dear niece, Melissa (Nicholas) Henriksen; dear niece, godchild and best friend Miranda Idleman; aunts, Donna (Tom) Sambs, Ruthie Moore, Angeline (Herb) Katzner and Adeline Fabisiak; dear friends, Bob (Linda) Best, Steve Bruflat, Lisa Chou-Pan, Doreen Ellsworth, Paul (Pat) Feller, Hilda (Billy) Graham, Delores Kleba, Kathy Peters, Dave Reid, Laura Szecsy, Vickie Vogel and Dave Wolf; family dogs, Toby and Jak Markus; and family birds Abby and Caesar. Margaret is further survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Margaret is preceded in death by her grandparents, Orvel and Bertha Moore; uncles, Ernest and Orvel Moore; aunts, Lois Williams and Dorothy Sonto; and godparents, Peter Fabisiak and Helen Matusiak.

A funeral service for Margaret will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Pete Peterson will be officiating. The visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Entombment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.
