Milton Lee ’Milt' Cunningham June 8, 1939 - Dec. 14, 2007
Milton is survived by his wife, Darlene, (nee Hackel) of 39 years. They had known each other since childhood. They became sweethearts after Milton returned home from serving in the Marines and were married Sept. 7, 1968. Milton is also survived by his mother, Doris (Don) Kohls, and by a loving daughter, Crystal (Damon) Whitaker of Trenton, Mo. Milton is further survived by sisters Cathy (Jim) Kieck and Lori (Mark) Nelson, and by a brother-in-law, Don (Doris) Hackel. He is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends. Milton was preceded in death by a son, Cory Cunningham, father Gordon "Jack" Cunningham and by brothers Marvin and Gordon Jr. Visitation for Milton was held Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha. Funeral services were followed by military honors. Burial will take place at noon today, Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. The Fisherman’s Prayer I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray; When in the Lord’s great landing net and peacefully asleep, that in his mercy I be judged ... big enough to keep. Church and Chapel Rudolph-Larsen Bros. is serving the family.
